That's too bad Mark, I wished you'd have called you could have headed up my way for a fling.

Nearly did Pete, I had the switch rod in the car too.
Wasn't a bad day. I fished until 3:30 and I got the 15fter rockin'- good practice for the Tay in April.

Where are you in April Mark? I have a few days at the end of April, but looking like South Esk at the moment. Rob

Dalmarnock and Meikleour/Upper Islamouth Rob - week commencing 25th. Staying just outside Dunkeld.
Saw your name in the bookings book for 21st on Taw - you'll love the Rising Sun Water.

Yes, looking forward to trying the Rising Sun but The Fox still a firm favorite. Enjoy the Tay, April is a nice month to be there. Rob

You might be better downstream this early Rob but if not I might be about Sat if weather/conditions are OK and you fancy having a crack at F & H

Looks like my car is off the road for a few days. Not able to get a replacement until late morning on Saturday. It looks like I will have to wait until the 21st after all. Rob

Just been on the webcam. Whole river still appears coloured Rob and I can't imagine there'll be no rain over the weekend. I surmise you aren't missing much.

Well I had my day at long last- car did not let me down. Seemed strange driving past the F&H and onto Umberleigh. Conditions seemed ideal- OK, maybe a bit bright, but after the winter we've had!! Certainly a good height of water and excellent water clarity. No salmon seen or touched, just a nice Taw brownie. Nice to be out on the river in beautiful surroundings. The place to myself as well. Memo to self: Need to fish more!

Any luck Mark ? "Endeavour to persevere" very appropriate especially when applied to fishing ,salmon fishing even more so. Are you quoting Chief Dad George from the film "The Outlaw Josey Wales" ? One of my all time favourite films. Colin.

Yes - Lone Wati, who didn't surrender, but they took his horse and made it surrender!

Well, I had a nice little brownie out of the Taw today (on a CFFC beat). My first time fishing it, and what a fantastic little river ... love it!
