According to Google Earth our house is about 200 yards from the Yeo here in Yeoford. We have just put down some weed proof membrane and the river flies think it is water. I've been surprised by the range and amount of flies landing on it today to lay their eggs. What a waste!!! The BWO'S are easily the most numerous, the most I've seen for years, makes the rod hand a bit twitchy!

I'm often amazed how far I've found flies away from the river. I had some mayfly spinners dancing above my truck in the car park at the Fox last season. My truck is black and wonder if it were for the same reason.
The hatches have been interesting and, in my opinion, have been good and varied this year. Liike you, I've seen BWO, Iron blue and plenty of other caddis and stonefly. I've been fishing into darkness the last few nights with a good friend and we really enjoyed just targeting rising fish.
