Dear Kennick Member,
Great News - we can go fishing again from Wednesday!
Please see statement below from Ben ref Kennick - from Wednesday just season ticket holders.
Please continue to review SW Lakes website for further updates.
Further down is the Wimbleball and Wessex statement.
Statement on re-opening plans 11 May 2020 – SW Lakes trout angling
In line with government and Angling Trust advice, we will be re-opening our fisheries on Wednesday 13 May at 10am.
Initially this will be for season permit holders only. You will have a week of access before day permits are available on Wednesday 20th May.
Both season and day permits will only be available via our website trout.swlakesfishing.co.uk/
or phone 01566 771930. The office will be closed at the weekends and permit rooms and buildings will be closed. When you visit the website select the lake you want a ticket for and scroll down to online permits.
It is essential that you complete a catch return so we can monitor the numbers of fish caught and adjust our stocking accordingly. To complete a catch return please click here: trout.swlakesfishing.co.uk/catch-return/
Further information on new rules and regulations in line with the Angling Trust phased approach to reopening will be made available on our website by 6pm Tuesday May 2020. It is essential you read that information before you fish at one of our lakes as it includes detail about distancing.
Please be patient with our teams as we put into place plans to ensure the safety of our employees and visitors.
The stocked Brown trout waters (Colliford/Roadford and Fernworthy) were all stocked in March. Our Rainbow waters (Kennick/Burrator/Stithians and Siblyback) were well stocked before the lockdown and we are stocking all four heavily within the next week to ensure you have some fantastic fishing to make up for lost time.
We would like to thank you for your support at this time and look forward to welcoming you back.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) customer update – Monday 11 May:
Following the government’s broadcast last night outlining the gradual roadmap out of lockdown, we will be reviewing our plans to make sure we have everything in place to keep visitors and our staff safe on reopening.
At the moment, we are working on a timescale for reopening as soon as possible within guidelines, and once we do we will update this page and our website with our plans.
Thank you for your patience over the last few months. We hope to see you soon.
Also on our Zoom chat tonight Peter Shazell said that Hatchlands was stocked and ready to go with fish from 1.5 - 16lbs.
Kennick Club Competitions are still cancelled until further notice as advised by the Angling Trust.
Hope to see you on the banks very soon and please ensure you read any of the guidelines of the fisheries you choose to fish.
Kind Regards and Tight Lines!!
John
