Grabbed a couple of hours here Tuesday after work. Mucked about with various Mayfly patterns for a bit, the fish were willing enough to take them but as usual for me I either couldn't hook them or they threw the hook. A change to a smaller BWO pattern brought a few fish to the hand but they were mostly small chaps with only one just nudging 10". Had a nice chat with another member ( Dave I think, a regular at the bank clearing sessions ) talking about old time patterns and how we'd fared so far this strange season, apparently he'd found some nylon attached to a mepps spinner on this stretch on his first visit here just after restrictions were lifted!! Still not as bad as the 2" rubber sandeel I extracted from the Creedy last year!!!
