Me neither. Surprisingly as there seems to be more blossom this year. The swallows were late as well with my first sighting only this week up on the moor. As a side I was asked to show my license to an EA bailiff on the west dart yesterday, the first I’d seen there in over 30 years. Nice bloke with 2 well behaved dogs.

How is the Duchy fishing this year Terry? Do you get the brown algae problem up there?

Not really a big problem Chris although there is some algae about but not really severe. We definitely need some serious rain. Shamefully I’ve only been up there twice in two brief visits with only a couple of 6” fish. The fly life is better than it’s been for a few years though so maybe things are looking up. Enjoying your you tube channel by the way.

Many thanks Terry Seems like a difficult start to the season, AGAIN. Let's hope for some rain and better conditions this May.
I know what you mean about the fly life, I've been at Fingle Bridge today for a wedding, loads of black gnats, olives and some Mayfly about, kept wondering if anyone would notice if I slipped off for a bit😀😀

Has anyone seen any Hawthorn this year? I haven't seen a single one yet. I've not seen any hawthorn either. Mayflies are getting going where I fish and I managed to catch some nice fish that were eating them yesterday.

I've been lucky with the mays so far and recorded a podcast on the Taw the other day with a friend. If you're interested, just click and join me on the river! Mayflies, fishing and friends
