Wonder if others saw this snippet in the news?http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/8481185.stm I can't quite fix the location of the weir- I suspect its upstream of Ellerhayes Bridge somewhere in the old paper mill. £180k is a lot of money- but if we get salmon in the Culm it could be a good thing ...... or a disaster. I can't see salmon- or even eels- queueing up downstream of Killerton hoping to move upstream as it just looks like another ordinary bit of the yeo or creedy.

As some of you know, I've had to have shoulder op as a result of falling off a stile on the Taw in september. All done yesyerday and home by 5pm
3 weeks day and night in a sling with physio purely to keep all the other bits of the arm moving, then more positive physio. no driving nor casting for six weeks; retrieving left handed casts may be allowed after four as may short fly tying sessions. I'll be there or thereabouts for the new season..... A mixed bag of three painkillers given me to take away with a serious downside- they can only be taken instead of rather than as well as alcoholic medecines!
