The future is bright!
I spent a few hours on the Taw yesterday. Magic- first trout of the season, casting right handed after a shoulder op- no hatch but rises to the dry. its suddenly good tyo be alive again.
But Icaught three salmon- on the CFFC waters. OK , they were smolt- not parr- and very lively.
Augurs well for the future. Oh, and by the way, when do the smolt run to sea/
Hope everyone is now into fish,
Paul

Good to hear you are back in circulation The answer to the smolts running to sea question is..... now! Or March - early May. There has been much doom and gloom about upper Taw salmon numbers so this is good news - might need more than three though My informant on the lower Taw knows of 18 springers so far this year (as of last week). Andy,
Thanks for the info and the good wishes- lovely to be back.
Agree we need more than three, but Monday we had in excess of 20 and they shut the browns out almost completely.
Cheers

Hi Paul,
We had a fair few again today but the trout are starting to bite too. Feels like things are really starting to get going...
