Went for a walk with the family yesterday down to Salmon Pool Weir in Exeter. Just above the first footbridge the was a large salmon lolling around with its dorsal fin out of the water. Must have been between 2 and 3 feet long! Seemed to have white coloration on its forehead, snout and the upper and lower parts of its tail fin, looked a bit diseased sadly. First time I have ever seen a salmon at Salmonpool!

Saw a similarly diseased fish, presumably a Salmon, though much smaller below Cowley Bridge the other day. It was just hanging in the current at the tail of a pool.
