Well not quite but a double ( away from home) against Spurs is a more the welcome distraction from a pretty dire season so far. At this rate at end end of the season Spurs will be fighting relegation with us..... A Happy Hammer( for a short while at least)

It was a bit of a surprise, I have to admit I was listening to the Liverpool game the other week and had to laugh when West Ham went 2-0 down having scored 2 own goals.
Nice result and a bit of a surprise as teams who have just lost their manager up their game a bit. Bring on Man Utd!

Oh deary me, now in the relegation zone and I can see us struggling to get back out on current form.

Watched it yesterday, turned it off when Aresenal went 2-1 up. Not looking great. Gary Mcallistar reckons they will be OK which will probably be enough to seal their fate!

I can't see how they will be alright as we are underperforming in all areas. We have some must win games coming up. I watched the game surrounded by relatives who are Millwall supporters, so they had a field day especially when the current table was displayed on screen...

Blimey, they made it on to TV yesterday as well. The Game could best be described as Excellent, good, half time, bad, terrible, really good, terrible.

The usual roller coaster then which ends up with us not winning. You can never say it's boring being a Hammer. Once you accept that it will mainly be disappointment with the odd morale booster then you have it sussed.

I can't recall ever seeing West Ham on TV as often as recently. I assume there are some TV planners who have seen the their form and have either thought "looks like they'll concede a few" or as yesterday "good chance of an upset there" They were certainly right about yesterday although when I heard the team sheet it was destined to go one way.
I do feel sorry for the fans who travelled up there but it sounded like there was a small chant for a certain Mr Di Canio from some areas at the end of the game.
Not sure I am looking forward to hearing how they get on against Man City but upwards and onwards!

It was no surprise as you said given the team we out out. It would be typical West Ham if we hung on for a result against Man City then lose our next league game. In regards to Di Canio I think that would be a disaster but quite entertaining to watch at least ( more than the current team anyway). You never know we might get Agent Lomas back at Upton Park after his heroic undercover assignment at Millwall....

On a seperate not I was watching the a programme about TOTP in the year 1979 last night. It featured the Two Tone edition of the programme which included three acts from the label, Madness( before they got commercial) The Specials and Selector. They looked so sharp fashion wise compared to everything else around at that time. I've still got the Dance Craze album somewhere.

Yup, would love to see Di Canio. Like you say it would be mildly amusing for a while but I wouldn't want to be about when the club implodes.
Sorry I missed TOTP, over Christmas I was talking about the shop in Romford called Mintz Davies where you could buy crombies and tonic suits. Only eclipsed by the great Melandis in Carnaby Street for all of you sta press requirements!

Mintz Davies now that rings a bell. Where in Romford was it ?. I'm sure I used to go there to get all my casual gear a few years later. Stuck my ' Royals'' in yesterday to get repaired after I had wore a hole through one of them after all the skanking at various gigs. They tried to tell me I was better of having a synthetic sole on them instead of the stitched leather upper... Yeah right.

I think M & D was in the High St somewhere, there was also one in Chelmsford.
Royals, you could have studs fitted and have them for wading they should then also giveyu excellent traction on the dance floor.
Did West Ham play alst night?!!

Ha, ha not a bad idea with the studs on the dance floor especially given the amount I fall over whilst in the river.
I watched the game last night and we played so poorly It was quite entertaining to watch in a masochist type of way.
If we dont get a result next game then it might be curtains for Big Sam especially now the dreaded statement of support has been issued by the owners.

You could hear a PIN drop as, despite the SLEDGEing, every man JACK of this CLUB will try and CLAW their way back to see AIR between them and relegation. But that is the six (nil) hammers shambles.

Paul, it was a shambles but low and behold they go and win on Saturday and with the "pony tailed one" returning you never know.
It is the first time in a while that the battle for the top and bottom are equally as exciting.

It's been to painful to post anything about West Ham recently. At least the aggregate score yesterday didn't run into double figures. Us Hammers always look on the bright side of life... Absolute disgrace though that they were still charging over £40 for an adult ticket yesterday. No wonder they only got 15,000 at the game. I've started to watch my local team Bromley FC who are doing a darn sight better in their league. On top of that I don't feel like I'm getting robbed when I go...

Well, 0-0 with Chelsea, a huge result. The stats made me chuckle, West Ham had one attempt on goal compared to 39 from Chelsea.
I have always felt there is some merit in fielding 11 goalkeepers!

Could be a massive point for us at the end of the season Pete. We didn't just park the is bus, we parked 11 bendy buses.
For the first time in I don't know how many games we have now won three games back to back. At this rate we will be taking Man U's place in Europe !!
On a seperate note, did you watch the first half of the Liverpool v Arsenal game ?. I can't remember the last time I saw a team come out of the blocks so strong against a title contender. It was a sublime performance it's just a pity it wasn't against Spurs..... Although I did say title contenders so that would rule them out !.

Well, what a pleasant surprise. 10th in the league and without the efforts of the pony tailed one who I am told has been woeful since his return.
I did see some of the the Liverpool v Arsenal game, amazing, positive football. A pleasure to watch.
