Got on the river today, looked nice but a bit cold. I thought I would get some casting practice in. I left my loop rods behind and used my newly acquired Shakespeare scandi, what a lovely rod that is not bad for the price .Also put up my sage z axis. Tried both rods using skagit lines and t18 tips for fishing really deep. Well most impressed with the lines and rods, may have to sell my loop cross,s (no I don't think so). Takes a bit of adjusting to cast with the tips but got it sussed. Roll on May when there should be a few fish about and then Scotland in June.

I bought the EXP 14'9" 6 piece rod this year and I am very impressed with it. Excellent value, even at RRP from Exeter Angling Centre.
