Had a few cold hours at Netherbridge Court today (beat 20 on the WAP). Tried out my new Hanak SLT 396 #3, which is lovely! I had a few grayling out and all were great fun to play on the new rod. The river was running quite hard and took me by surprise a couple of times, buf i came away unscathed. At one point i wax fishing just up from a weir when i heard a massive splashing sound, and turned round to see a pretty large fish disappear under the surface - salmon maybe? Anyway, as it was pretty cold i only took 1 pic, which was one of the smaller fish ... A lovely few hours spent at a great spot ...

Good stuff Pusser... I tried Netherbridge a few years ago, just about fishable on arrival but wasn't looking great... within an hour it was dark brown and had risen 18".... never got around to going back

Sadly i'm busy tomorrow afternoon or i'd have loved to have joined you.
Be aware that the track from the parking area to the river will probably be very muddy. Also, it isn't particularly clear where to get in the river - you need to go down the small track, through the new'ish gate, follow the track down and round a right hand bend, through the next gate and then i'd hop in 20 or 30 yds upstream, cross the river (it is obvious where to cross), then go back downstream to the fence line at the bottom of the beat and fish up from there (apologies if you know the beat, not trying to teach you to sick eggs).
in the main the river is easy to get in and out of for most of the beat. Have a good day and tight lines.

Netherbridge court high & very coloured . Not fishable. Made my way to the Inny. Not sure if I found the beat though I did some lovely people who live by the river in an old mill. The water was flowing quite quickly. Scared myself several times . Lost two flies to trees then the heavens opened so collected furniture for my wife and came home.
