Went for a wander near Whitford the other day, and also just above Weycroft last weekend. I only saw one fish movng, but it looked like a good fish.
I'll be honest and admit I was recceing for sea trout fishing later in the year, but it was good to be out and about. Less than two weeks to wait, although I have not landed one before May yet.

I managed a St George's Day sea trout of just under three pounds just above the tide, my earliest off the river. Very silver fish, with a couple of sores either side of its anal fin.

I fished Friday night for the first time this season after Seatrout.
The weather was kind and it started to cloud over at around 9.45pm.
I waited until it was dark and armed with a few new flies i had tied that day started fishing.
To cut a long story short i blanked but had a good pull from the woods pool on the dangle.
I needed to get home at a reasonable time as i was going to London to watch my team Spurs play their last game of the season at the Lane.
So still no Seatrout but i'm sure it won't be long now.
