Many thanks to Mo Graham for organising and hosting this week's fly tying evening. I'm sure there must be a fly fishing commandment of "thou shalt not covert thy neighbours capes" but some of the grade 1 metz capes and saddles he brought along were a bit special. Birthday request already in! The low turnout was a but disappointing, any feedback welcome on whether a different evening or time might be more suitable? Those that did attend had a few hours of "proper" fishing chat, a very welcome tonic given the dire conditions we've had this winter for any piscatorial activities.
Ps Howard it was Pearsalls "neples" silk that I couldn't remember! I blame the drink.

Shame you missed it Ben, as usual the Crediton Inn had a few nice real ales on tap. I could have stayed on for another pint but I had work the next day☹️

We even had a two vice setup for any begginers who wanted to "follow" along and tie their own fly. I know these days you can watch it all on youtube but nothing beats some one to one tuition. Perhaps we should arrange it in season when people's minds are more on fishing and fly tying?
