Hi Starsky,
I'll turn supergrass, I am sure no one is reading anyway!
To be honest if you cover the water and keep moving you should find fish. I generally head left from the car park and work my way round from there but depends on wind conditions etc. Dam area can be good too so keep driving past the main car park.
I prefer to fish an intermediate line and a tadpole but was up there week before last doing an article with a guy who knows it intimately and he likes small black stuff which worked really well. I use the taddy on the basis it might bring in one of those big lumps you often see way out of casting distance!
Don't wade out too far as fish will often be close in but just keep moving buddy!
Pete

Thanks for the info Pete. Yeah I normally do the cast and step approach on the wild waters. It's a pity they don't allow tubing on these waters as mine is gathering dust. I've never thought to fish with taddys before but makes perfect sense, I normally fish dries or wets. I try to get out on a Stillwater on my week trips just to break up the fishing a bit after the rivers. It also helps straighten the back after all that crouching while river fishing. Blimey I'm getting old !

Colliford 16th August 2017 report, I had two small brown trout out both fell to a soldier palmer which was the middle dropper with a cruncher boobie on point and a bibio as the top dropper a team I think works superbly up Colliford , it was blowing an absolute gale up there but then it always is, one bit of advice that I would give is don't take your waders I've been fishing colliford a few years now and I've never caught a fish more than 10ft Away from the bank even if it's shallow, I like to use a rip midge tip so the flys are just sub Surface
