Hi Tim mate!
glad you are getting into peal...I go away for 2 weeks and come back to a load of rain. If it stays dry I'll take a look at the Taw and if fishable I'll be out looking for them tomorrow night!
Please feel free to throw any comments on and I hope you'll be able to get Pilks to join up too.
As mentioned I have added the Plym section and if there is anything that anyone would like to see let me know.
Pete

Pete, Welcome back Axe and Yarty - one section not two separate sections, the Yarty is an Axe tributary And while we are on the subject of tributaries can we change the board descriptions to "Discussion about the XXXX and its tributaries" not carriers, carriers are a chalkstream thing aren't they? Nothing worse than a pedant on a monday morning is there Andy

Hi Folks, Whoever thought this site up deserves a pat on the back! I live next to The Tamar Just above the first weir pool where the seal has his dinner every day. However, he needs good galsses today if he is going to see anything, the water is like cocoa. As a member of Launceston Anglers my playground tends to be the upper Tamar & the Inny with the Dart, Teign, Lyd & Tavi for variety. Apart from dressing flies I make furled leaders in order to keep an age old tradition going. Looking forward to future topics & good debate. It's good to be here, Nysinny. AkA, Rod Dibble.

Hi Rod,
great to have you on board and I look forward to your posts!
I was supposed to be on the Tamar last few days...its getting a bit frustrating to say the least isn't it?
You might be interested to see the leaders thread as there is some stuff there about furled leaders and I am sure your input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi David, thanks for joining us, I think I saw a few minutes of sun today! I was on the Taw last night and it was pretty quiet and cool. It didn't stop us leaving at 10 though

Hi all, look forward to reading the post on this forum, im up in N Devon just a few minutes walk from the Taw estury, i am still a novice to the art of FF and at the moment mainly fish Roadford and Wistlandpound but would really like to get out on the rivers and streams a lot more. (have tried a few river 2000 beats) i would love to try for sea trout for the 1st time, im not a member or intend to be a member of any clubs so any info or a thread on where to purchase day tickets for rivers up in the north of the county would be very welcome. cheers Steve (aka ollie) PS: Pete any more casting clinics on the cards in the near future

Hi Steve,
good to have you here!
Have you looked at the Fox and Hounds? They will do you a day ticket on the Taw and also Lance Nicholson in Dulverton, they can sell you a day ticket for the Exe and Barle.
Have you fished Roadford much this year?

Hi Pete, I don't know if you remember me but i bought a Wilderness kayak down there in Broadwoodwidger last year and you had a cast on my Redington CPS and Scierra ti+, is that offer of a casting lesson still on. I have only managed to get down to Roadford 4 times this season been a bit busy since the arrival of my daughter born in February but i was down there this Saturday and managed to hook up seven Perch, one small brownie and lost a lovely brownie around the 2 1/2 to 3 lb mark just as i was going to net it. all on barbless sz 14 black hopper and sz 12 foam daddy twitched slowly across the surface and when waterlogged then the Perch were on it straight away cheers Steve

Hi everyone,
Just found this great little site yesterday and registered today. I fish the Duchy waters fairly regularly and the Teign occasionally. Also Avon dam res. Fernworthy and Colliford. Doubt that I can contribute much but I'm very pleased to be a part of all this,
Terry

Hi Terry,
good to have you here and I look forward to your posts!
I see you have mentioned some of the South West Lakes Trust waters that you fish and it made me wonder if members would like a SWLT section? I recieve the monthly reports from Chris so it would be easy to pop them up to keep everyone up to date.
