Welcome to the Devon Rivers forum!, hopefully it will be a resource for local anglers about how things are fishing and for visitors wanting to know a little bit more about our river fishing down here in Devon.
Enjoy!

Hi Pete,
Thanks for the invitation. As you probably know, the Crediton Fly Fishing Club has a forum of its own, so I will pass this on to them. This will be a great opportunity to broaden our knowledge base and share experiences with a wider group of fly fishing fanatics. I'm not much of a contributor to forums myself but I think that this forum will be a great success.
Cheers,
Howard

Hi Mo, welcome aboard! I guess the success of this sort of thing is by how much we can put on here to make it a good source of info so thanks so much for your help! I hope you are giving that new rod a good workout!
Hi Treefella, have you noticed how quickly the fish were on to the mays this year? I fished another stretch of the Taw when it was pretty much in spate and pulled fish up to look at my dry in the slack water.
I'm off to the Bray today so will let you know how it goes.

Hi Pete
The forum's a great idea.
I haven't been down to Devon since the casting clinic at Wellard & Scott's ponds a couple of months ago (btw thanks for the excellent instruction).
Last year I had to abort 2 trips to Devon because the rivers were in spate, 1 of them when I had already driven down there, so an update on the state of the rivers would be most welcome.
I have a week's holiday booked in the last week of July and it is set aside for fishing in Devon - can't wait!
Regards
Jon

Hi Jon,
I am pleased you enjoyed the casting day and I hope some of the things we covered will have put an extra fish or two on the bank for you!
Fingers crossed for July and the weather.
Feel free to post away and hopefully the board will have plenty of info for your trip down!
Pete

Hi Andy and welcome aboard!
We are only a small band at the moment but we're slowly starting to grow and hopefully as word gets out we'll have more on here for people to enjoy.
I look forward to hearing of some of your fishing exploits!

Hi Folks, Andy (BB) passed on the info regarding the forum so here I am . Don't get too much time on the rivers as I'm mainly up on the moorland still waters . I like to Fly fish around the Estuaries (not sure if these are quite the rivers but there you go ) and am really a catch and realease them man. I have had a go on a couple of Rivers and get down on the Plym now and again. Hope you folks get the water the rivers need some re looking pretty low now. Hope to contribute something here now and again that may be a bit different and interesting. Forum is a good idea. Sandy.

I was wondering if the Forum administrator could add the PLYM as a westcountry river as I am sure I could post a bit of Info there.
Thanks Sandy.
