Pete For peolpe like me who come down for the annual fortnight and are constrained by "other holiday items" what would you consider the ideal minimalist kit for soem river fishing?

Hi GN,
I'd go for an 8ft 4wt,tapered leader, 2 to 3 1/2lb tippet, para adams,klinks,tups,elk hair caddis, black gnat, ptn, grhe in sizes 14 to 18 and and a book of Angling 2000 vouchers or a pass for the Duchy water....as it were probably a summer holiday I'd also need to pop something in for sea trout and just in case it rains and your timing were right something for salmon and if you were going to the beach for the day you might think about bass and then if the rivers were shot you might need a rod for Colliford or Kennick....so much fishing so little time...!

Why not book a cottage that has some fishing attached so your family can enjoy the holiday and you can enjoy some fishing
