I have to drop my wife in Torquay at 9am on Thursday and pick her up at 5pm. The weather forecast is iffy, cold and 20mph westerly winds. Where should I go- dartmoor looks a waste of time?
My only thought is a warm flask and fly tying kit as back up and heading for Kennick (great picture on their new website now my wallpaper) hoping for a bit of sport but able to bail out easily.
Any other ideas....? Particularly as I think I might have to repaet the exercise on Thursday!!!!

Hi Paul, I was going to mention to have a go on the Avon but you have to buy a weekly ticket for £57...how about Avon Dam?...the nice thing is it is free too. I haven't been down there but I believe trout bum fishes there a bit. www.gethooked.co.uk/

Hi Paul,
Fished the Avon dam on Sat. last and caught in the margins on the north bak running down to the river. I love it up there, mind you the weather Sat. was like summer.
