I'm hoping to have a go at tying up some salmon flies - specifically 'cascade' and variations (thanks Pete) - I know there are a few videos on You Tube but can anyone recommend a decent book for tying salmon flies?
Thanks,
Paul

Paul, I just followed step-by step threads on the salmon fora and as you say youtube. Never bothered with a book. BW Rob

Just been getting into Salmon flies myself, youtube's got plenty of instructional video for just about any fly imaginable, psyching myself to try a Lady Caroline, but still need the materials ...

If you can make it Brian and I will be holding some fly tying sessions starting in November. It won't be in the same league as built wing salmon flies but I'm sure we can get you going on hairwing patterns. Colin.

Zimtrout, creator of the Megamay ties some beautiful traditional patterns like the Lady Caroline. My wife likes to fish them having seen the Megan Boyd film and has caught fish on them too.
