With the coarse season now open on rivers, I decided to ditch the fly gear and head out with a tub of maggots and the float gear on a bit of the Culm I fish near Stoke Canon. Plenty of fish about, with the usual suspects, Chub, Dace and a few small Brownies taking an interest in the bait. I was very surprised when this showed up... Which is a first from the Culm for me, and I've never heard of or seen any others from there. Just need to find the shoal!

Very nice fish there! When you find the shoal can you shoo them upstream a bit to the CFFC water please?
