Grabbed a quick hour here this afternoon after work ( hard to believe that I haven't fished here at all this year, but its just been so low I didn't think it was worth it). The weekend rain hard brought it up to a perfect level. The cold and clear conditions didn't bode to well but some fish were looking up and several fish to 9" came to hand plus the usual missed rises or hook throws. A little deer hair sedge proved its worth again on this stream. Not easy fishing, lots of trees to catch the back cast and slippery slate under foot, but great fun! Anybody else been out much? It might actually be worth it at the moment.

Well done, it looks like most people have packed it in for this season! I had a final fling a few weeks ago in the Outer Hebrides and managed to intercept a few seatrout and lots of little brownies, but the salmon were in very short supply. Hoping for better things next year.
