Has anyone used a Rio Trout LT (WF or DT) in the past? If so, I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thoughts of the 2019 season are beginning to awaken, and I need to buy a new line for small stream stuff.
I’ve used Barrio Smallstream lines for the last two years, and whilst they load very quickly I find them a bit front end heavy (prob not helped by my casting) and I would like to offer a more refined approach.
Thanks in advance

Not tried the Rio but really like the Bario GT90. Feels light on my 4 weight and has a delicate front taper. Great colour to.

I used the Rio LT (WF4) for a couple years, it does what it says on the tin, only problem I had with it was turning over 18' leader at shorter distances, switched to Rio Single Hand Spey, turned the leader over all right but a bit clunky on small streams, now use Snowbee Thistledown 2/5 weight which works very well.

I use a Snowbee Delicate Presentation#4 on a 3wt 8ft rod. It's got a long front taper, colour is muted olive green, loads well at short range and turns over nicely, especially with a furled leader. When it gets too breezy on the Moor I swap to a 5wt set-up with a Snowbee XS WF. Good luck with whatever you choose. Not too many months to go now..!

Merry Christmas Tim
Strange I've also been looking at the Rio lt, trying to convince myself that if I buy the double taper it makes the price more acceptable to the OH!! I really like the Bario small stream but find they don't last more than a couple of seasons even with regular cleaning. Another option might be the new Rio creek line? Happy new year to all,

Thanks for all the feedback chaps. As a result I'm highly tempted to buy two lines to give me options (and comparison).
I've used Snowbee Thistledown and liked it , but (as ever) like to try something new.
