Fly tying evening on Thursday 21st Feb at the Otter Inn , Colaton Raleigh. Starting at 7-00 pm . All are welcome from total beginner to “expert”. Very informal and a good opportunity to give it a go if you have never tied or have issues with certain techniques. If successful we will have some more sessions . Drinks and food will be available to buy from the bar. Colin.

A couple of new “members “ turned up last night . Both had recent and past experiences of fishing New Zealand which they were keen to share. It’s good to have the banter as well as the fly tying. Another session booked for next Thursday, 14th , Otter Inn Colaton Raleigh meet at 7-00pm. Colin.

No more fly tying evenings for a while. Fishing has started and the lighter evenings are more suited to outdoor activities. Thanks to all those that came along. Brian and I hope you all gained something from attending. Colin.

Brian and I hope you all gained something from attending. Colin. Many thanks to Colin and Brian for giving up their Thursday evenings these last couple of months. I enjoyed the tuition and banter, but I'm not a natural tyer so hope we can resume the meetings next winter now that we've got the use of a fishing friendly venue. Hopefully a few more members will attend next time.........which would also be appreciated by the Pub Landlords Steve and Lin who really gave us a warm welcome. Anyone looking for some real Ale or Cider and properly cooked Food should try The Otter Inn at Colaton Raleigh sometime !
