Is it me?
I have notice that the bottom of the Exe where I fish (Middle River) is covered with filamentry algae this year. I don't remember it in the past.
My memory says that the river used to be covered with clean rocks and pebbles, this year it seems covered in dark manky growth and silt. When I am wading there is a puff and the river is full of silt drifting down on the current. Has anyone else noticed the same thing or is it me?
The other thing that I have noticed this year is that Rainbows seem to be making up half the catch?

Don't know where you fish,M8,but all the rivers seem to be full of slime/algae at the moment. We've had a lot of dry weather for this time of year-really needs a decent spate to clear it all out.
