Ok, now I've got you here, The Anglers Riverfly Monitoring Initiative is looking for more volunteers in Devon. It doesn't require much commitment (about a couple of hours a season), and, if you need one, gives you a good excuse to go fishing as well! For anyone who may be interested, but not sure what it entails, we have members who are happy to take you out and show you. It's very interesting and provides essential data on the status of invertebrate life in our rivers. If this sounds like something you could get involved in, drop me a PM and we can take it from there. Ben Oh, and just so nobody feels short changed from the title....

Hi, prodigal stickwaver returns... I’m starting a new job in a couple of weeks which happily will make me a full time resident rather than one of they weekend warriors. Give me a couple of weeks to get settled in (say midAugust?) andI’m up for it. Done a bit before so once the cobwebs have been dusted off should get up to speed fairly quickly. Cheers, Kev

Cheers buddy. Life gets in the way of fishing sometimes, but now should get a whole lot easier to wet a line. Would be nice to put a bit more into Devon’s rivers (association work parties at Launceston tend to be mostly over the border on the Cornish bank Hopefully will manage to get reacquainted with you all before the season is done - see you on a bank onetime soon!
