Saw this and thought it might be of of interest.
It is with great excitement that I can announce myself(Neil Keep) and good friend and river guru, John Aplin, have taken over the fishing on the river Otter at Deer Park Fishery for next season.
We will be running this stunning fishery, with around 3 miles of prime wild trout fishing, as a syndicate water, with a rod costing £180.00 for unlimited fishing for the season.
As well as some awesome wild trout fishing, there is a chance of a sea trout and the odd salmon.
The fishery is ideally located just off of the main A303 route near Honiton in East Devon. There will be onsite parking as well as a fishing hut for members use (Covid permitting.)
Over time, we hope to make a few tweaks to the river to improve the habitat for the fish as well as the local wildlife. We hope to organise some work parties in the closed seasons where members can get involved and if there's enough interest, Neil will put on a couple of casting clinics / workshops for syndicate members through the season.
Rod numbers will be limited, so if you would like to take a rod or would like some more information, please get in touch using the contact details below. Neil - enquiries@neilkeepflyfishing.co.uk 07821 647055 John - john@riverworks.co.uk 07889 680464

Just wondering where that is going to leave Ottery Fly Fishing Club members?

I’m on the committee of the OFFC and I can tell you that there was no consultation with the club in any way . The first the club secretary knew of it was through an email sent by a member who had seen the same information as posted on here. It would have been nice to have had the opportunity to at least match the money and conditions offered by the new “people”. I can only assume that is how business is conducted these days .

Common Courtesy, one would have thought.
