Had a couple of fruitless hours on the West Dart this afternoon. River very low and crystal clear but no sign of any fish. Still a bit early but had to have a cast or two. Two dead sheep in the river quarter of a mile down stream of the Dartmoor trading centre. Could not find the farmer but I think someone needs to know. The West Country angling passport web site has no facility now for easy contact. Would appreciate any suggestions on who to contact ( my past queries with the EA has not been of any real help) or maybe I should keep schtum and wait for maggots.

Anyone wild swimming downstream is going to find that the water tastes a bit funny.... Good for you for getting out Terry. We need a drop of rain and some warmth now I reckon.

Found a bloated dead cow stuck in the bankside trees just up from Prince Hall one summer. The smell was something else🤢.
I can imagine the fish must have gorged themselves on maggots when it eventually burst.
Enjoy your breakfast eveyone😂
