Nice one, David!
You can see a very healthy head of fish from the bridge by Tesco's!
But does anyone know wh actually owns the fishing rights to the river?

I fished it a lot when I was a lad, in fact I caught my first Trout from there. Never used to be a problem fishing it, I mainly fished from where his video ended, behind where Mcdonalds etc.is now ( nothing but fields then) up to the link road bridge, but I have fished it all the way up to Huntsham, and there were plenty of Trout along the whole length.

By coincidence, as I crossed the Lowman bridge near Tesco, there was a gut in chest waders in the bitter cold clearing supermarket trop lays, footballs and all sorts of other debris out of the river.
Sterling fellow. Saw him again in the distance down by the weir on the Exe.
It turned out he was a keen fisherman, but also did lots of videos of him fishing.
You have probable alll seen his clips long ago, but new to me so, on the off chance, google 'west country angler'

I would think the Knighthayes estate probably owns the rights as they owned all the land in that area ,I have seen a few of West country anglers films ,there are a couple of him fishing the Lowman in the same area.

I'm reliably informed that the fishing through the town is all free, not sure how far up this extends, but my guess would be to the link road bridge.
