Hi all, Granted I’ve only been fishing the Yeo and lower Creedy and then only infrequent evenings because of the heat, but I haven’t found any fish rising consistently, I’ve sneaked a couple out on the dry but I seem to remember last year being quite consistent on the same rivers is it my timing, poor eyesight or luck or is anyone else finding similar ? Not just you, we've just had the CFFC picnic (thanks to treefella for hosting 👍) and everyone said the same. A lack of rising trout and those that do rise are sporadic, alot of splashy takes that are hard to hook and not much "proper" fly hatching. I put it down to last years heat and low water plus this years cold spring. Ofcourse the high levels of phosphate, nitrates and insecticides don't help!
