Couldn't resist the opportunity to get up onto Dartmoor after yesterday's light snowfall and hard frost. Great views of fieldfares, snipe and grey wagtails, plus the other usual birdy suspects. Stunning light and scenery in every direction, but I couldn't track down any spawning fish or redds, despite having a good mosey along several stretches of the upper tributaries. Perhaps the river levels were still a bit high for optimal visibility, even with polaroids. Let's just hope they got on with their important business out of sight! They certainly can't complain about a lack of running water this season.
