Paul I've had a few days here and there on the Brit and it's tribs but they have all been "looking over the shoulder days" and most of those with the worm You could try knocking on farm doors or ask at Parnham House (just south of Beaminster). Or you could ask Huge Ferny Eatitall... A lot of the Brit and Asker around Bridport is regarded as free, or free for the taking. Up behind the supermarket on the Asker and the Brit around the football club. Below the Bridport bypass down towards West Bay is let to somebody and is not turn up willy nilly water Some big salmon get into the lower Brit. I once met a man who claimed to have taken two 20lb salmon out on worm... on boxing day! There are also some good sea trout down there. There is a newish fish pass at the Brit/Asker junction so something exciting could turn up anywhere. But don't get carried away with all this talk of silver monsters, my best Brit fish was a 10" brown but I did once get a 2lb fish on worm from one of the very small tribs. Disclaimer. None of the above is in any way meant to encourage or glorify poaching. You must always have the owner's or tennant's permission to fish... now where's me telescopic rod and woorrmmmsss Andy
