Some of these clubs ain't half hard to find you have to look deep in other fishing websites links to find them, and the prices for most seem very reasonable but others wow ,I would like to join a club with friendly members willing to get involved in bank clearing days Etc, And hoping to get a bit of knowledge from other members as i am a complete beginner Who will be taken some tuition during the closed season.

Jiffy,
A bit closer to Kingsbridge is the Devon Avon, you should be able to find the club in the Get Hooked guide. It does seem to be more of a salmon/sea trout club though, no mention that I can find of trout only membership.
Another river that might be worth a try is the Erme. There is a club with water around Ivybridge, The Cleeve Anngling Club. If you ask in the tourist info centre in Ivybridge they should be able to give you a contact, if not get back to me here and I will try to track it down.
