Hi all, not sure if everyone has seen this or not but it is coming to Exeter in Nov. I'll be there and it would be great to meet up with anyone else going. www.flyfishingfilmfest.eu/Pete

me too! I have some intelligence (which will surprise friends) that a certain foreign immigrant from the deep south may also be putting in an appearance.
should we try and meet up before the event or find a suitable watering hole/ curry house afterwards!

Well, I had a great time there last night and it was good to see so many familiar faces. Highlights for me were Nicks film about Tas which covered highland and low land rivers along with the lakes and the film about a stream where steelhead rise to green drakes was superb! The pre film noodles were pretty good too...

Sandy,
The attendance was not as good as I thought, shame the set of films were fantastic.
Pete,
I to thought the Tas film was spectacular, bought the DVD after wards.
I was sitting in the row behind you but never really got a chance to introduce myself.
I'll be back in 2010 for the full Iceland film.

Hi Sandy,
Sorry you couldn't make it. As Terry says the turn out was Ok but I guess the guys would have liked a few more. It might be the case that it takes a little bit of time for people to get to know about these things and then it will grow form there. I spoke to Nick (the film maker) afterwards and I asked him if there was any particular reason why he chose Devon as a venue and he said that he felt that the area fitted in well with the outdoors and wild fishing that he enjoys and films himself which was cool.
It sounds like they will be back next year and I hope that it goes from strength to strength.
Terry, you should have given me poke and said hello. I would have loved to have heard about those trout you have been catching!
