I have recently moved house from the North Coast of Devon to Torquay.
I am now looking for some fishing when I don"t have time to travel to my favourite beat on the River Exe (about an 1 - 1 and 1/4 hours away) Somewhere to pop to when I want to fish when I only have an hour or so
Like to fly fish on small rivers but willing to try anything with a fly rod (maybe not good enough caster to fish large expanses of water)
Any suggestions?

Flyboxfan,
For stillwaters you have Kennick or Fernworthy fairly close by along with the Avon Dam and Ventford.
The Duchy waters including the West & East Dart are also within 3/4 of an hour away and are my particular favourites. Over 17 miles of small river fishing for £80 a year.
The upper Teign is also fairly close. Teignmouth itself is only a short drive away and is good for a bit of salt water fishing especially on the Shaldon side of the estuary. This is only what I have either read or heard as I have been spectacularly unsuccessful at it myself.
Hope this is of some help and welcome to Torquay.
Terry

Welcome to Torquay flyboxfan. Can't really add to the suggestions already. Plenty of water to keep you busy.
