Hi all, I keep forgetting to post links to these places and I am sure some of you might have seen them before but if you haven't they are a real treat. Enjoy! Pete www.catchmagazine.net/www.thisisfly.com/

I tell you what FBF it doesn't sound half as bad when you say 6 weeks, doesn't feel that long!

does 38 days sound any shorter ;D ;D
I even know that the chances of catching a salmon in the Exe on the 15th February is not high (in fact it is extremely low) I just want to go fishing. I also know that soon after the salmon start comes the trout season.

I like your thinking!
It is good to be out on the water with a rod in your hand and there is always a chance. What is it they say about your fly being in the water?....

Ouch!!
Incapacited, I cannot tie flies until I get my shoulder sorted.
I therefore steered, through various hints, my loved ones to get me Malcom Greenhaughs tome on 'fishing flies' for Christmas. It duly arrived ansd sits open on my desk as I trawl through it.
I was mortified to find that putting the magis words 'fishing flies' into a web site called 'the book people' gives you that seminal work for less than a tenner!
Worth every penny!
