Hi Sandy, how goes it?
I don't know about grayling on the Thrushel but salmon and sea trout do run it. I would imagine nearly all the salmon would turn up after the end of the season but some sea trout (mostly peal?) must get up there earlier.
When Roadford dam (on the Wolf, a Thrushel trib) was sealed some salmon and sea trout fry/parr were present and these turned up as adult landlocked fish. I only ever heard of one or two salmon but friends and I had several landlocked sea trout up to 2.5lb in the first few years after the fishing first opened.
All the best .
Andy

Hi Andy, Things going fine, getting into my river fishing more and more . Will have to catch up sometime for a wee spell on some water. Been to Wales the Severn and the Wye a few tmes last year, best grayling 3.5Lb on a GRHE ;D. Will maybe have some news on the Thrushel if I get a line wet there. Sandy
