Grannom have really got going the last few days on the Taw. Any of the other rivers similar?

Yep there were plenty on the Culm and the Tone today.
The fish were taking LDO's instead of the Grannom though.
It was nice to see the fishing were looking up.

I was on the Taw yesterday as well and it couldn't of been nicer. Balmy conditions and grannom and olive spinners dipping their eggs all morning. Lovely. Shame there not too many trout taking advantage of the feast!

Lots more on the Taw today but fish were more interested in LDO's.
It usually seems the case that the fish are more interested in the emergent pupae than the adult but I was fishing the Wye in Builth last week and my buddy was the other side of the river and shouted to me they were on adult grannom. I wasn't too sure as there were a very few LDO's and thought they might be taking them as Toby has also suggested.
Anyway, I tied on a balloon caddis just to see and picked up a few fish. It doesn't happen that often and hasn't since I got home. It was the seam of some pretty fast water which might have made it a split second decision for the fish to make and they decided to hit it anyway as they were looking up but would be nice to think we'd matched the hatch!
Today has felt a bit of a turing point on the Taw where I am where we have seen more consistent rising fish.
