Fished the Creedy below creedy bridge today for the first time this season. I walked across from the Lords Meadow sports centre into the field below the outfall that caused the pollution incident last season. First impression was that there was a fair bit of fly life about. That was reinforced by a rising fish under the girder footbridge. Working my way back up I saw several rises and also lost a reasonable fish about 50 yds below the outfall itself. The activity above the outfall was not any different, again a lot of fly life and rising fish. The field with the public footpath in has been refenced along the river edge with new barbed wire. The farmer has also provided some additional plastic tube on the wire and also some stiles where the wire is high. Hopefully I won't puncture my waders here this year! From the foot prints I saw in the mud it looks like i'm not the only one to try this part of the river. Anyone else tried yet!

Hi Chris glad to see you are enjoying the early season fishing, just to let you know the pollution last year occured on the river Yeo just below Codshead bridge not from the outfall on the Creedy,if the new plastic on the barbwire is yellow its what we put up while bank clearing . Only been out once on the Culm ,saw a few fish moving but didn't hook anything.
