For those who don't know it the Bray runs off of Exmoor and joins the Mole which in turn flows into the Taw.
I was on there yesterday with a client and the water was in pretty good nick and was only carrying a tiny bit of colour. The level was just fine and when we arrived a few small fish were moving. What a nice start to the day! The fishing was pretty steady and we caught on a mixture of flash back pheasant tails and the ever present klinkhammers in black and also grey. Not much mayfly activity (I counted 5 all day).

27th Bray
I took Paul onto the Bray y'day and was surpised how much the river was still pushing compared to the run off from Dartmoor.
There was an angler on the other side who had a 5lb salmon the day before and we saw a fresh 6lber move through whilst we were fishing.
We were after trout though and despite fish early on hitting the dry I kept the nymph on as there was a chance of peal. Shortly after the dry dipped and the fish didn't do a lot and then decided it wasn't happy. Paul did a great job and we netted his first sea trout of 1 1/2 lb!
Caddis hatch was spot on 3pm and we managed to hit a slack section of water with plenty of rising fish. Best of 11 inches but just was nice to catch a really nice rise.
