Had a look at the CFFC stretch last night. When we got on the water there were a few sedges about but a cool downstream wind. The wind didn't really give up and there was little going on from 7.30/8 onwards. We saw a few risers but it was a really quiet evening as a whole. Water was clear and at a nice level though.

I too was on the Taw on the 16th, I can only just bring myself to talk about it now. I was on a beat below the mole junction fishing for salmon/sea trout. There was an upstream gale down there. I got one very small peal. Another angler was fishing the bottom of the beat and came up in the evening, I asked him how he had faired, "got three sea trout" he replied, "any size?"... "all around 7lb" Right place, right time but I got it wrong Andy
