Hi. Does anyone know if this is fishable (looks it to me) and how one can gain access? I can't see it mentioned on Fish the Exe so guess it's just private. It would be a shame if no one fished it, especially as It's pretty near to me!

I think that there are three River Darts in Devon. The River Little Dart rises at Rackenford and runs into the Torridge at Chumleigh. The East and West Dart rise on Dartmoor merge into a single river at Dartmeet and enter the sea at Dartmouth. As far as I know there are no river Dart running into the Exe - but I could be wrong

Well I did a quick recce last night. It's bottom appears to be a very dark, almost black, bedrock with large similar stones. No gravel found, just silty farm sediments coating everything in the slacker water. Absolutely no sign of fish and no response to dry flies in likely spots. Although polluted some time ago I'm not sure this is trout habitat anyway. Oh well, you won't know if you don't go!

Which River are you referring too, and where is it?

hi mo,
there is a river dart- a tributary of the Exe- that joins the Exe from the West at Bickleigh.
Is this the forgotten Dart?
