Hello chessie, I see you've had no replies yet. Try looking at posts on the River Otter. There are quite a few in the forum and in particular billyboy is knowledgable about your stretch, which is great. You could take the easy option which I witnessed as a young boy about a 1/2 mile above white bridge. This was in the early 60's and some of the local fishermen from Budleigh Salterton used to protest at licensing on a tidal stretch of water. (Crown water) They would row their boats up river and then use their seine nets to trap the fish and then throw them ashore to a grateful crowd cheering from the bank ! I lived in Budleigh then and had no real knowledge of riparian owners and fish stocking but found it all very exciting anyway. This was more than 50 years ago so I don't suppose it happens today. More fish for you. Regards, John.
