Managed to get out today fished the lower Yeo&Creedy, had one 8 1/2 incher from the junction pool on a leaded GRHE scratching across the bottom.Wind blowing straight down the river but it was good to be out on the water again, saw three kingfishers or the same one three times, flushed a couple of roe deer and on the down side a pair of gooseanders.Had look for the top-end of the polesaw we lost while bank clearing but did not find it.

Popped out for a couple of hours today on the Yeo, that nasty downstream wind was still at it. 1st hour nothing, then 3 in about 10 mins, including this silvery 11 incher, then nothing. Typical early season fishing. Kingfishers were busy, but didn't see much else. No risers, and only saw 1 LDO.

Went to the Culm today, the odd LDO and a few midges coming off, saw three rises, the last was to my Detached LDO, nice plump 10" BT that became airborne as soon as I tightened into it. A very nice day!

Very silver. Sea trout possibly? Alas just a silvery brownie, the golden fins are usually a give away ,even in August when you might expect one.
