I love it!
Any other cricket fans on here?
I've been really enjoying the WT20 games and have really enjoyed watching the hugely positive way in which England have gone about playing the game.
It made me remember a World Cup final years back when Viv Richards and Collis King scored about 3,000 in 50 overs and our opening batsmen were Boycott and Brearely who were set with starting the colossal task and falling short.

I used to be pretty obsessed... Pretty much applied to all sports.... But have fallen a bit out of love with it recently, although nowhere near as much as football; I still follow the full tests as much as I can, but as I can't be arsed to pay for sky since cricket left terrestrial tv the opportunity to sit down and watch a whole day's play is rare... Saying that on a sunny day there is nothing better than 'snoozing' in the sun drinking wine whilst listening to TMS. The only game I really have the same obsession about as of old is rugby.... I'd walk across hot coals to watch rugby, either code Union or league, the 6 nations is the one thing that helps keep the blues away during Feb early March each year as I await the new fishing season...

Much the same bosiker , I loved playing football but watching it no longer does it for me, Rugby is the one I do enjoy watching, will listen to the cricket and watch if I have the time. Pete your showing you age knowing that song lol

I love it, working from home meant I could have the match on yesterday, couldn't quite believe it!

It was really exciting and although I prefer Test cricket I have really got into this.
I do really miss Richie Benaud though, he was a bit like Boisker and didn't want to have anything to do with celestial cricket coverage either!

Always have TMS on in the workshop ( much to the annoyance of my co worker ) pretty much grew up listening to Jonners and Aggers etc.. I have to say its been a strange world cup, from the high of 230 against SA to 50 odd for 6 against Afghanistan?? Then a perfect performance against the Kiwi's. Now we have to play West Indies again, that can't happen very often that first and second from the same group end up in the final! I wonder what type of wicket we will get on Sunday now that India aren't playing?

I guess a fair bit depends on how they cope with Gayle but Simmons looks lively too. I always think there is hope for me as a cricketer when I watch Gayle field though!

l agree Pete, for once I think we have a feally balanced side and I reckon we are going to win tomorrow.
Unfortunately I go back along way with my love of cricket and can remember the likes of Wes Hall and Charlie Griffiths of WI destroying all England batesman. Maybe our time has come. Just hope Gayle has a good hangover.
Do you think there is a definate link between the love of cricket and fly fishing.

Terry, didn't get to see the WI of those times but managed to see the team of the 70's and 80's play. My Dad got us tickets to watch the World Cup Final when WI played India and got to see Malcolm Marshall in his pomp. I'll still never enjoy watching a cricketer more than Viv Richards though.
Is there a link? Not sure but they are two of my great passions!

Bigger, but what a final.

I think England would have bitten your hand off at the start of the tournament to defend 19 off the last over for victory. Four sixes in a row to win is just a bit special.

I went up to Twickenham last week to watch Exeter take apart Harlequins, spent 2hrs queuing in the rain for semi final tickets against Wasps, provisionally booked accommodation for the final, living the dream!
