[/URL[/URL[/URL[/URL[/URLMe and Geraldo managed to get out on the river as it's finally dropped to a fishable level. I have found my own personal slice of heaven at this place. We found plenty of fish starting the day on nymphs, then as the sun came out a bit, olives started hatching and the fish started rising. A quick change of rod and we were into a few on dries until the rain started and the hatch stopped. Saw a big salmon move so went and got the heavy gear, swung a cascade over where he was and even tried one of your "specials" Pete, but I think he was running and had moved on by the time I'de run to the car for the rod and set up.

Very happy with my new beat. The carrier on here is part of your syndicate just a little further upstream of it.Theres main river and tiny carriers too so small rods are required for that.
Looking forward to mayfly time but the grannom hatches and olives were plentiful.
We will have to sort a day out and get on your beat and mine.

Nice one Jezney, shame about the salmon! I had someone I was working for hook a small salmon in Timber pool this afternoon on a duo rig. Was on for a while and I even had the net ready as I thought we might have a chance. Sadly not to be!

Wow. To catch one on duo, that's crazy. Shame it came off but I bet the client will take the memory of that fish and never forget it.
It was spectacular suddenly noticing such a large fish moving in the most crystal clear water. It moved into some weed when it saw me. Just above his spot was a really nice run and I would have thought he moved tight up against the bank in the fast water, but no luck.I fished about 50 yards up and down from where I saw him.

I reckon it knew it was safe now that you'd gone. Thought there was a really good chance we were going to have it too. Good to bump into you before work yesterday and love the whiskers!
