I couldn't have asked for a better last day of the season on the Taw.

Err, wow. What did that take? A black salmon fly Rubble, it came from a small pool. I cast square and pulled the fly pretty quick and it was too much to resist!

Nice way to finish Pete, lovely fish. I didn't get out on the last day in Devon.... I was a day behind and thought it was Thursday! So ended up popping over to the Frome (closes 15th Oct) instead... Had a pull out on a really nice fish, but still an enjoyable late afternoon / early eve session with a couple of BT around the lb mark and some smaller grayling.

I as I said before you have sussed when to fish, unless you are fishing for more than odd hour or so? Happened to mention your fish to Joss - "I hope he's not driving", to Mike - "should he be fishing? I'll ask Yon she knows all about rehab", some people just don't understand, fishing is more important than football and that is more important than life and death. Once again cracking fish, now all you need is the EA to stock some Grayling on medical grounds, couple of hours therapy a day through the winter will see you right!

Hi Mojo, my max is about 2 hours or just over but I fish with Emma and so we take it turns and I sit down for a bit. Being able to still fish after everything is the thing that keeps me coming back for more. I am loving it more than ever and am sure it has helped in me feeling better too.
I like the idea of the grayling for health reasons, funnily enough I have worked on restocking earlier in the year as I have found proof of them existing in the Taw from a few places but it has been pretty hard going to get anything done and have grown a little weary of banging my head against a wall ( perhaps this was the cause of everything!) but I may try again over the winter.
Boisker, sounds a perfect day.

Well done Pete. A perfect way to finish.
You do in 2 hours what I couldn't do in 3 whole days! I fished at Umberleigh on the Monday, Tuesday and the last day with three others and apart from one 8lb fresh fish for my chum, we caught nothing!! Hall Estate had a couple though, one of which was a cracker apparently. Annoyingly the water was holding at 0.6ish on the gauge so was perfect.

Mark, it seemed as though there were some fish around our end last few days. There were 3 others that I know of.
Makes a change from the rain we usually get from 1st Oct!
